The 52-Week Collection - Week 7: Love Never Fails

A bit busy this week so posting old photos again...:D:D
This picture was taken at Pixie and Charles's wedding, wonderful couples and touching wedding. Their wedding rings are so special, "LOVER NEVER FAILS" was engraved on them. I think the wedding rings the couples choose somehow reflect their personality and their love story.

I hope everyone would respect other's work and their property rights of their work, writing my name on great Picasso's drawing does not make the drawing mine, copying the same content with a different color pen still does not make the content mine. Quote the sources and credit the author, ask for permission if required, this should be what a moral and ethical person should do.

The 52-Week Collection - Week 6: The Glamorous

Two days late this week. Sorry about that :P:P busy at school and I was struggling in choosing the picture I like most for this week, it was so difficult, there are too many of them that I think are okay.

Mentioned in the previous entry, I bought Lilies last week and was busy taking photos of them on Sunday, I didn't expect that their blossom would come so soon, thought could take a few pictures everyday for 3-5 days...but I was wrong...:P:P the flower actually finished its blossom process in one afternoon, for about 3 hours...so I couldn't be slow or else I will miss out something..when the moment is gone it's gone..I witnessed the blossom movement of the last flower when I was taking the photos, it was amazing.

Like the color of the flower and the sunlight. Best relaxation activity for the week :D:D

Chauses bought herself flowers today...

Chauses bought herself flowers because no one get her flowers today...hahaha just kidding. No special occasions today, just a normal relaxing friday for me....(yea I know I am supposed to be busy and indeed I am busy...but today I wanna spoil myself a bit..hehe:P:P)

I went to the flower store near campus today when I was on my way home. Wanna to get some Lilies for my paused-for-a-long-while flower project. Surprisingly I saw these beautiful Lilies, seldom see Lilies with such incredible color. I chose one with only 3 flowers because I don't need a lot of them.. I only aim at shooting close up this time. I am sooooo excited, looking forward to their blossom.

I am really so very excited that I took a few testing pictures immediately when I reached home :D:D will take more tomrrow morning when flower's best friend - sun light's there. I must have looked weird on the train...looking at the flowers like one who has never seen flowers before :P:P I was deep in thought thinking about how and at what angle would I shoot the flowers...haha they are really beautiful..will wake up early tomorrow for them...lol

The 52-Week Collection - Week 5: Who's Next?

I have been thinking about this shot for a long while before I actually (made the pizzas yay :D:D and) took the picture.

This picture was indeed inspired by the great photographer Sam Abell. After I looked at his work, my photography work is never the same again - I want most of the pictures, if not every, I take in the future have a story to tell.I am not gifted in drawing like many of my friends do, there are many stories I want to tell however, and I am glad that photography can help. :):)

About Who's Next? -
In life, we are very often in the role of making choices - and being chosen (or not chosen).
Is being chosen a good or bad thing? It depends.
Is the path we have chosen the right one? We would very much like to know before we make decisions but of course, the reality says the opposite. C'est la vie - that's life.

When the diner finished the last bite of pizza on the plate, which of the 3 pizzas above will be the next "chosen one"?

Is being chosen a good or bad thing for a piece of food?

Well.. that might be an interesting question to think about but...don't think too much :P:P enjoy the weekend!

Be Well.

p.s. By the way...I decided to take back Chauses Photography instead of C.Y. Photography...I know my name is a little bit special and it might take some time before my new friends can figure out how to pronounce it. But, so what? That's who I am. If people are not interested in figuring out the name Chauses, I will make my name known to them one day with my photography work. :D:D

The 52-Week Collection - Week 4: Companion

Pets, our best companion of all time.
When they only take part in part of our lives, do you realize that we could mean the world to them? Looking forward to and longing for my pets to come in the future... :):)

Happy Easter my friends :D:D

Happy trip with friends :):)

I couldn't tell you how happy I am today.

Words can't really describe how happy I was taking photos with Liao Liao and William. Finally Liao Liao and me got a hang out together, which we have been looking forward to for sooooo long. I love hanging out with them, the day filled with laughters, fresh air and good photos. Very glad to see Voon and Kelvin again, good buddies from previous courses :D:D

I still don't have time yet to take a careful look on every photos, but they are all awesome!! I am so happy really...well since words can't express how happy I was...this picture below might give you a hint haha.

Will share more later on :):)

The 52-Week Collection - Week 3: Happiness

Do you agree that the older we are, the more difficult we are to taste happiness? Maybe we already get used to the taste of happiness?
Happiness could still be very simple, try to appreciate everything around us :):)

The 52-week Collection: Week 2 - Looking Back

Are we often too busy to spend time looking back?
What would we find when we look  back?

The 52-week Collection: Week 1 - Instinct

Inspired by Andrew =) although I might not have so much time and tools to take creative pictures...I would want to motivate myself to keep my photography practice going. =) In the coming 52 week, I am going to post one picture, either new or old, in this album on a weekly basis...to keep track on my journey with my camera as well as to motivate myself to continue taking good pictures =D=D

Week 1 - Instinct
While the cats in rural area don't have cozy beds and clothes like those in big cities, their instinct help them find ways to keep warm in the cold winter.

Wing Lee Street

Wing lee street has become a hot spot for photographing and sight-seeing lately because of the award-winning film 'Echoes of the rainbow' that set there.

To me, it's always fascinating to see the steps that lead us to where we are .

Wing lee street is a short street with 12 tenement buildings, you could see the whole street at one glance, but you would be very much attracted by the buildings there, every one of them.

The ground floor of most buildings there were for business purpose, just like other tong lau in hong kong. The business there are mostly in publishing.

The buildings there are typically tong lau (Chinese-style building, typical 1950's post-war architecture, unique to HK and southern China)

There is an indoor playground there which the other photographer I met on that day recommended me to take a look.

That area was indeed under a redevelopment plan but now is preserved due to public pressure.

Old-fashion mail boxes.

Obviously the people there are overwhelmed by the large amount of visitors lately, notices that read "private property, do not enter without permission" are posted on the front door of most of the buildings. Well...it seems that there's a price of being famous...It would be great if the government can turn the whole street into another tourism spot in my opinion, since there are quite a lot to see nearby, and to prevent the people there from being annoyed so often.

Wanna visit the Stanley market again or take some short trips in hk in the coming Easter holiday:D hopefully can get a few buddies to accompany :P
