..."By virtue of the authority vested in me, I admit these candidates to the degrees for which they have been presented." Said the Pro-Chancellor. It was the moment we have been waiting for after all these years' studies, and it marks the end of my 3 years' undergraduate life in the university.
It was a touching moment - When Prof. Tsui, our Vice-Chancellor, reminded us of the support and love from our family, teachers and friends during the time when we were a student. I said to myself back in year 1 that 3 years of university life would fly away very soon, it was true, and indeed, it flied away faster than I have excepted.
Road will not be as easy after graduation I think. It will not be as simple as before, we don't have a pattern to follow anymore, compared to going to kindergarten, primary school, secondary school, university - that all we need to do is to study hard and learn as much as we can. Suddenly, the protection shield seemed to be expired and we will need to take what we learnt to the real world - the university of society. Stepping away from the comfort zone is not easy until we have found our courage and determination to do so, and, don't let our fears to hold back our dreams.
I am proud of being a graduate of my university, thank you my school, teachers, family and friends.
